Important safety advice:
▪ Shock hazards or unsafe practices are dangerous as they can cause severe personal injury,
fire, or death.
▪ DO NOT use combustible substances near hot objects.
▪ DO NOT use the equipment in hazardous atmospheres.
▪ DO NOT operate or handle any part of the product with wet hands or use on surfaces that
may become flooded.
▪ NEVER move the product while still connected to the power supply.
▪ HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE DANGEROUS as they can cause serious burns to operators and
ignite combustible material.
▪ Users are responsible for wearing appropriate personal protective equipment to protect
themselves against hazardous agents. Gloves, made of the appropriate material, should be
used to avoid injury from direct contact with hazardous materials (biological and chemical
hazards)
▪ NEVER lift or carry the instrument until it has been switched off.
▪ DO NOT position the unit so that it is difficult to disconnect from the mains supply using the
mains plug.
▪ The mains socket used should be located close to the equipment and readily identifiable and
accessible to users.
▪ The unit should be carried using both hands, and any risk of personal injury must be avoided
by following the appropriate Manual Handling procedures.
▪ Do not interfere with the safety interlocks.

D. Pre-installation Checklist
Before setting up your i.prep please ensure that you have:
▪ Adequate, secure, and level bench space (alternatively - Hood, Laminar Flow, MSC)
▪ 240V/110V AC Main switched socket within operator reach.
▪ Free space 200mm on all sides of instrument.
▪ Installed the <flow> application.
E. Setup Instructions
1. Assemble the Pipette Module
- Open the pipette module box and remove the pipette module, tip adaptor, and tip adaptor tool.
- Screw the tip adaptor into the tip adaptor slot on the pipette module.
- Lightly tighten using the tip adaptor tool.
2. Remove the i.prep from the box and place it on a flat, clean, work bench.
3. Open the i.prep door.
4. Remove the plastic travel guard:
- Unscrew the deck tightening thumbscrews by hand.
- Remove the plastic travel guard.
5. Insert the drip tray.
6. Connect the pipette module.
7. Close the i.prep door.
8. Insert the left and right waste containers.
9. Insert the power supply.
10. Switch on the i.prep and wait for the internal LED to stop flashing.
F. Connecting to your i.prep
The factory default setting for the i.prep is to run in Standalone mode where it broadcasts its own
Wi-Fi network to connect to.
1. Connect to the SSID broadcast by your i.prep (e.g. iprep-00000). The SSID is displayed on a
sticker on the side panel of the i.prep.
2. Enter the password displayed on the sticker on the i.prep.
3. Once your laptop/PC has successfully connected to the i.prep Wi-Fi network, open the
<flow> application.
4. Use the <flow> search functionality or directly connect to 192.168.100.1 when connected
to the i.prep Wi-Fi.
